A big thank you to all who donated or came out and helped prepare the birthdays in a bag for the Blessings in a Backpack ministry. We met our goal and put together 108 birthdays in a bag!!
We are grateful for all the ways our church family steps up to meet the needs of others so generously. Thank you again.
Beginning this Wednesday, August 14th, Propel Middle & High will be starting a new curriculum called, The Thread. Through this study students will learn the big-picture story of Scripture and learn what the Gospel is and how it literally courses through the narrative of the Bible. We hope to see you this Wednesday!
We are excited to announce that after we finish up studying the book of Romans, we will be diving into a new study through the book of Galatians! More than any other book of the Bible, Galatians emphasizes salvation apart from the works of the law. We will be focusing on the great freedom we have in Christ.
To enhance what we are learning, we will be offering a church-wide Bible study titled The Steps to Freedom in Christ by Neil T. Anderson. This will be Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm and begins August 28th.
Childcare will be provided, however we need to set the deadline for signup by Sunday, August 25th. Stop by the Welcome Desk to sign up for childcare and you can also pick up a workbook there for only $7. Couples are welcome to share a workbook.
If you would like to go ahead and order a workbook, click the link below to purchase the participant guide from Christian Books.

Men of Forward, in the interest of freeing up everyone to participate in the all-church Bible study, we are postponing the Tuesday evening Emotional Maturity study until Nov. 12th. Please keep your calendars marked for this.
Women of Forward, come out and experience an evening on a backyard homestead and small-scale flower farm.
You don’t need a lot of space to grow your own healthy food and live a simpler, sustainable lifestyle. During the evening, you will have the opportunity to learn about the no-till garden method and observe how to create one of your own. You will also learn how to grow, cook, preserve, and forage your own food. Then use the fruits of your labor to create simple, healthy meals to enjoy and share with friends and family. Part of the evening will also include creating and wrapping a fresh flower bouquet to share with family and friends. This will be a great time of fellowship, as we enjoy a farm to table meal together.
If you are interested, signup at the Welcome Center on Sunday and pick up the address for the class there.
Our Fall Womens Retreat is November 7th-9th at the Abe Martin Lodge in Brown County, Indiana. Click on the link below to pay. For any questions, please reach out to Lisa Sutherland at lisa@forwardchurchfamily.com. |

Women of Forward, helping with Breakaway meals is a great way you can get involved in the community. Each month we are honored to serve the ladies at the Breakaway house, which is located just down the road from Forward Church. Volunteers from our church provide a meal and visit for a couple of hours with the ladies that live there.
Typically we need 4-5 women to serve. Our next dates for serving will be the Sundays of August 11th, September 15th and October 13th. If you are able to help for any of these dates, please stop by the Welcome Desk and sign up. For any questions, email Tonia Hatfield at Hatfield912@gmail.com.

Chest Of Joash
The Chest of Joash provides an opportunity to give above and beyond the normal tithe. The money from it goes directly to work needed done on our building.
In 2 Chronicles 24 we find Joash repairing the temple and a chest was set outside of it for people to bring a tithe that was used to pay the workers restoring the temple. Verse 10 says, “And all the princes and all the people rejoiced and brought their tax and dropped it into the chest until they had finished.”
A huge THANK YOU to all of you who have joyfully donated just as the Israelite officials and people did!
You can give to the Chest of Joash by clicking the button below and selecting “Chest of Joash” in the drop down menu.
