“Pack the Bus” is a collaboration with local churches, businesses, and individuals to provide basic school supplies to those New Albany-Floyd County School students who cannot afford them. Through this program, Hope Southern Indiana was able to give over 30,000 school supplies to local schools last year!
This year, our Forward church family will be joining in this initiative to help provide supplies for more than 2,000 students. We will be collecting the following items below. You may bring in your items beginning this Sunday. The deadline for bringing in supplies is Sunday, June 23rd. Thank you in advance for being a blessing to those in our community!

Move Up Sunday is coming soon for our forKids and Propel ministries!
If your child is going in to one of the following grade levels this fall they will be moving up to their next class starting on Sunday, June 2nd:
Kindergarten – God City
3rd Grade – The Dig
6th Grade – Propel Middle
9th Grade – Worship Center
Our ministry leaders will be working on preparing for this switch over the next couple of weeks. Please be sure they are aware if your child will be going into one of these grades in the fall.
Women of Forward, “Save the Date” for this year’s Fall Retreat! Retreat date: Nov. 7-9. We will be staying at Abe Martin Lodge in Brown County State Park.
You can get registered now! There is a $50 down payment with registration, with full payment due by September 22nd. You can click on the link below to get registered.
This weekend you can get signed up for a room. We will have choices of 2 or 4 person rooms. 4 person rooms are $175 and 2 person rooms are $255. This price includes 4 meals.

Beginning, THIS Sunday May 26th, the Sunday School class will begin chapter studies in Psalms and Proverbs. Psalm 1 tells us there is a blessing for those who delight and meditate on God’s Word. Join us as we study, delight and meditate on God’s life changing Word.
This will be a 12 week study. Please join us Sundays from 9-10am in the classroom behind the Worship Center.
All young adults ages 18-29 years old (single or married) are welcome to attend our on-going Merge gatherings. We meet every other Monday evening from 6:30-9PM at the church. Dinner is at 6:30PM. Our large group time begins at 7PM. We are going through the Bible in a year using the Bible Recap plan.

Thank you to all the ladies who signed up to serve the women at Breakaway.
The next Breakaway Meal will be Sunday evening, June 2nd. We will need around 5 women to help provide a meal and come out to visit with the women in the Breakaway home for a couple of hours. This is a great opportunity to serve the ladies literally in our backyard.

All men of Forward are invited to join in Tuesday mornings for Bible study. Meeting at Coffee Crossing in downtown New Albany from 7:00-8:00am, the men will be studying through the book of Proverbs.

Chest Of Joash
The Chest of Joash provides an opportunity to give above and beyond the normal tithe. The money from it goes directly to work needed done on our building.
In 2 Chronicles 24 we find Joash repairing the temple and a chest was set outside of it for people to bring a tithe that was used to pay the workers restoring the temple. Verse 10 says, “And all the princes and all the people rejoiced and brought their tax and dropped it into the chest until they had finished.”
