NEW! Mens Bible Study
Areté: Cultivating a Life of VirtueThe Scriptures call faithful people to live virtuous lives, but what does that mean? This 8-week men’s group will explore this big question by looking at the short passage of 2 Peter 1:5-8 and the list of attributes that Peter says can guard Christians from an unfruitful and ineffective life.
The group will meet from 8:30-10:00 on Saturday mornings at Nomad Church Collective (1423 E. Oak Street in New Albany) beginning February 17th and is open to all men.
Whether you are new to the church, have questions about what we believe, or are considering becoming a member of Forward, please join us for our upcoming Membership Class on Sunday, February 25th immediately following the service. Lunch will be provided, so please let us know you are coming by signing up at the Welcome Center.

True Spirituality: Becoming a Romans 12 Christian by Chip Ingram, beginning February 28th!
“Christians today live in a world that is activity-heavy and relationship-light. The result is spiritual emptiness. We struggle to know what God wants FROM us and FOR us …. and we’re unsure what a real relationship with God really looks like.
This was never God’s idea! HIS idea of faith isn’t about rules or religion – it’s about relationship. In Romans 12, God gives us a clear picture of what Christians should look like at the root level. If you’re ready to move beyond the motions of religion and experience a real relationship with God, your journey begins here.” – Chip Ingram
Ladies, please sign up at the Welcome Center to let us know you’re coming. Then join us Wednesday evenings at the church from 6:30-8pm beginning February 28th. See you there!
*Click the button below to order your workbook from either website.
If you had to miss last night’s House of Prayer, we hope you will join us next month.
This is a special time carved out once a month for the Forward Church family to unify our hearts in prayer. While each month may look different in how we pray, we always take time to lift up prayers for our leadership, the volunteers, our unsaved friends and family, and the community. We believe that when the church prays together we will begin to see the miraculous power of God at work in our midst.
Our next House of Prayer is Thursday, March 14th from 7:00-8:00pm at the church.
*No childcare for this event, however, families are welcome.
Parents of forKids’ students, if you would like to stay up with our forKids ministry and any events or happenings, be sure to sign up to receive e-mail updates at the check in station on Sunday!
Sunday School class is every Sunday beginning at 9am in the classroom behind the Worship Center. We are currently studying verse-by-verse through Revelation, chapters 1-3. All are welcome to join in any Sunday. Contact Dave Hollander at dgchollander@yahoo.com for more info or questions.
WE NEED YOU!!
Ladies of Forward, we have another opportunity to serve the ladies at the Breakaway house, which is located just down the road from the church. You can help by providing a meal and visiting for a couple of hours with the ladies that live there.
Our next meal for them will be on Sunday evening, February 18th. We need around 5 women to help bring a meal. There is a sign up sheet at the Welcome Center for this date. Look for future dates in our newsletter. For questions text or call Tonia Hatfield (phone number provided at the Welcome Center).
All men of Forward are invited to join in Tuesday mornings for Bible study. Meeting at Coffee Crossing in downtown New Albany from 7:00-8:00am, the men will be studying through the book of Proverbs.

Chest Of Joash
The Chest of Joash provides an opportunity to give above and beyond the normal tithe. The money from it goes directly to work needed done on our building.
In 2 Chronicles 24 we find Joash repairing the temple and a chest was set outside of it for people to bring a tithe that was used to pay the workers restoring the temple. Verse 10 says, “And all the princes and all the people rejoiced and brought their tax and dropped it into the chest until they had finished.”
A huge THANK YOU to all of you who have joyfully donated just as the Israelite officials and people did!
You can give to the Chest of Joash by clicking the button below and selecting “Chest of Joash” in the drop down menu.
