All young adults ages 18-29 years, married or single, are invited to this year’s first annual MERGE Christmas Party at the church!! This event will be Monday, December 18th, beginning at 6:30pm. We will have dinner, games for anyone who wants to participate, prizes and other surprises! The dress is “cozy Christmas” and we will do a gift exchange. Bring either socks or gloves filled with candy. Guys for guys and girls for girls. You can also include a small gift card, but please don’t spend over $15. If you are not able to bring a gift, no worries, we will have plenty!

Christmas Eve this year falls on Sunday, December 24th and we will be having a family-style church service. All grade level forKids and Propel Middle School classrooms are closed. However, nursery and toddler childcare will be made available.
Forward Church Family, don’t forget that there will be a special time during the service on Sunday, December 24th to collect the Friends Forever Fund offering. We are asking you to pray, give and serve.
PRAY – Pray over this year’s Friends Forever offering, that the Lord will bless it and multiply it for God’s good Kingdom purposes.
GIVE – 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 says, “The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” Pray that the Lord will put a specific monetary amount on your heart and that you will give not reluctantly or under compulsion.
SERVE – Plan to come out in February to serve alongside your Forward family by packing meals at the church for hungry Haitian children through the ministry Mission of Hope.
- Goal is to raise $125,000
- We have already set aside $75,000 toward the new roof cost of approx: $200,000.
- $10,000 will be used to pack and provide 28,751 meals for the hungry through Mission of Hope.
- We will have a year end gift offering during our Christmas Eve Service for the Friends Forever Fund.
- Anything above the $125,000 goal will be added to the Chest of Joash account for future building repairs and upgrades.
- Beginning in January of 2024, 100% of all money donated to the Friends Forever Fund will continue to pay down our mortgage debt.
- Donations can be made year round to FFF for the reduction of our mortgage.
- Donations can be made year round to the Chest of Joash fund to help with building repairs and upgrades.
TOMORROW evening, Thursday, December 14th from 7:00-8:00pm is our House of Prayer night at the church. This is a great way to slow down and focus or even refocus your heart during this hectic time of year. Simply show up and you will be guided in how to pray on your own or with your families.

We will be having a special forKids Christmas Handbell Choir performance at our Christmas service on Sunday, December 24th.
Have you heard about the upcoming Revelation study beginning after the new year?!! Beginning Sunday, January 7th, we will begin an 8-week verse by verse study, focusing on the 7 churches of Revelation found in chapters 1-3. We’ll be studying the characteristics of each church and how it applies to us today.
Class begins at 9am and is open to all! We would love to offer childcare if we have enough interest. If you would need childcare, please contact Tanya Crouse at tanya@forwardchurchfamily.com.

New Women’s Bible study beginning Monday, January 8th! Women of Forward, if you are looking to connect to other ladies in the church, jump in to this new Bible study! This next study will be Jen Wilkin’s, God of Covenant: A Study of Genesis 12-50. This is a 10-week study meeting in the home of Tonia Hatfield. The ladies will meet every other Monday.

Chest Of Joash
The Chest of Joash provides an opportunity to give above and beyond the normal tithe. The money from it goes directly to work needed done on our building.
In 2 Chronicles 24 we find Joash repairing the temple and a chest was set outside of it for people to bring a tithe that was used to pay the workers restoring the temple. Verse 10 says, “And all the princes and all the people rejoiced and brought their tax and dropped it into the chest until they had finished.”
