Thanksgiving is quickly approaching and we are bringing back our fudge fundraiser which helps the local ministry of Hope Southern Indiana. We will be providing fudge to put in Thanksgiving baskets that are distributed annually to those in need in our community.
Our goal is 100 boxes of fudge donated! As you are ordering fudge for a basket you may also purchase for your family’s Thanksgiving as well. Simply indicate on the form how many boxes of fudge you would like to donate and how many to take home.
Pick up a form this weekend at the Welcome Desk and orders are due NEXT Sunday, Nov. 17th.
Women of Forward, mark your calendars for this year’s Christmas Tea event, which will be Friday, December 6th. Doors will open at 6pm and the meal will be served at 6:30pm. Tickets are $20 each or a table of 8 for $120. Tickets go on sale next Sunday.
We will need table hostesses for this event. As a hostess you will be responsible for table decorations. This can be as simple as you like. Some other items for hostesses to bring: a pitcher for water and tea cups. Optional items: chargers, silver ware, sweeteners for teas, gifts for guests at table.

As we begin the month of November, we want to remind you of the opportunity to give your year-end giving to our Friends Forever Fund.
This year our fund will go towards debt reduction on our mortgage and three different ministries. We will have another Meal Packing event in February with Mission of Hope. Through this ministry we will be providing 40,000 meals to feed hungry children in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. We will also be sending a donation to Choices Life Resource Center here in our community to help in saving babies lives in the womb. And finally, we will be sending a donation to an organization named The Seed Co. The Seed Co. is a Bible translation organization that is getting the Bible translated into languages where the Bible is not currently available.
Our 2024 goal is $185,000, so please begin praying about how much the Lord will prompt you to generously give this year. We will take our FFF offering on Sunday, Dec. 22nd this year.
Once again this holiday season we will be blessed by having our forKids choir performance. The kids choir will be singing at our service on Sunday, November 24th. Practices will be after church this Sunday and next Sunday immediately following the services.

Each month we are honored to serve the ladies at the Breakaway House, which is located just down the road from Forward Church. Volunteers from our church provide a meal and visit for a couple of hours with the ladies that live there. Women of Forward, helping with Breakaway meals is a great way you can get involved in the community. Typically we need 4-5 women to serve.

Chest Of Joash
The Chest of Joash provides an opportunity to give above and beyond the normal tithe. The money from it goes directly to work needed done on our building.
In 2 Chronicles 24 we find Joash repairing the temple and a chest was set outside of it for people to bring a tithe that was used to pay the workers restoring the temple. Verse 10 says, “And all the princes and all the people rejoiced and brought their tax and dropped it into the chest until they had finished.”
