Our Gingerbread Bash is coming up on Thursday, December 7th from 7:00-8:30! This will be an evening focused on the true meaning of Christmas! We will be making gingerbread nativities, listening to the Christmas story and singing some Christmas songs! This event is geared towards families with children. If you don’t have children, but have a creative spirit and want to come join the fun, you are invited! This will be an event that you need to sign up for so that we’re sure to have enough supplies for each family to make a gingerbread nativity. The deadline to sign up will be on Sunday, December 3rd.
MERGE gathering together this Monday evening, November 20th, 6:30-8:30pm. We will meet at the Davidson’s home in Charlestown. RSVP by going to Stack Team app and request to join. All are welcome and invite your friends!!
Friends Forever Fund
- Goal is to raise $125,000
- We have already set aside $75,000 toward the new roof cost of approx: $200,000.
- $10,000 will be used to pack and provide 28,751 meals for the hungry through Mission of Hope.
- We will have a year end gift offering during our Christmas Eve Service for the Friends Forever Fund.
- Anything above the $125,000 goal will be added to the Chest of Joash account for future building repairs and upgrades.
- Beginning in January of 2024, 100% of all money donated to the Friends Forever Fund will continue to pay down our mortgage debt.
- Donations can be made year round to FFF for the reduction of our mortgage.
- Donations can be made year round to the Chest of Joash fund to help with building repairs and upgrades.
We had a great night of prayer this past Thursday evening. We prayed through the Cycle of Prayer which guides you through twelve ways the Bible teaches us to pray, like praise, confession, and praying the Scriptures. It’s always a blessing to come together with our church family with hearts united in prayer. Mark your calendar for next month, Thursday, December 14th. *Note: childcare is not provided.

Chest Of Joash
The Chest of Joash provides an opportunity to give above and beyond the normal tithe. The money from it goes directly to work needed done on our building.
In 2 Chronicles 24 we find Joash repairing the temple and a chest was set outside of it for people to bring a tithe that was used to pay the workers restoring the temple. Verse 10 says, “And all the princes and all the people rejoiced and brought their tax and dropped it into the chest until they had finished.”
