Women of Forward, how about we decorate pumpkins together?!!

Mark your calendar for Thursday, October 24th 6-8pm and bring your pumpkin to decorate to the church. White pumpkins work the best. This fun event is open to all the ladies ages middle school and up!

Our hearts and prayers go out to the people devastated by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. It feels overwhelming when we see disasters like this happen in our world, but we CAN do a couple of things to make a difference. We can PRAY and we can GIVE. Forward family, please keep the hurting in your prayers and if you are able to give, reach out and give to trusted organizations providing relief. We’ve provided direct links below to two organizations that are helping on the ground right now and doing it in the name of Jesus – Samaritan’s Purse and One Kingdom. Click on the links below to help.

Whether you are new to the church, have questions about what we believe, or are considering becoming a member of Forward, please join us for our upcoming Membership Class on Sunday, October 20th immediately following the service. We will meet in the Propel room. A light lunch will be provided, so please let us know you are coming by signing up at the Welcome Center. Childcare provided.

Volunteers are still welcome to show up and serve!

Have you been considering getting involved by serving here at Forward? Here is your opportunity. Below is a basic list and brief description of areas that need your help. Please pray and consider joining one of these great teams.
1 Peter 4:10-11: Use your gifts to serve others as stewards of God’s grace.

We need immediate volunteers for each of these teams: Coffee, forKids, Greeter, Propel, Security, and Tech.

Coffee Team
Serve once a month (or every 2 months). You will arrive around 8:45 Sunday mornings to begin brewing up the coffee. You will set up and tear down the coffee area and clean up after the service.

forKids Team
Serving in any infant – 5th grade ministry. Our preschool students up through elementary learn God’s Word each and every weekend. Join our volunteer team and help our little ones understand God’s unique love for them. Typically a morning consists of a Bible lesson, snack time, and play time.  You can join in this ministry by simply being a helping hand.

Greeter Team
We need friendly, smiling greeters to welcome people coming inside our building for the weekend service. We also need smiling faces outside in the parking lot as well. This is called our Parking Team.

Fall Womens Retreat  – Thursday, November 7th through Saturday, November 9th at the Abe Martin Lodge in Brown County, Indiana.

Thank you to everyone for making plans to get away with us. This year’s theme is HOPE. We can’t wait to see what all God has planned for this year’s retreat!

DATE CHANGE: In order to open up our time to help with the Harvest Homecoming clean up, the next Breakaway Meal date has been changed from Sunday, October 13th to Sunday, October 27th.

Each month we are honored to serve the ladies at the Breakaway House, which is located just down the road from Forward Church. Volunteers from our church provide a meal and visit for a couple of hours with the ladies that live there. Women of Forward, helping with Breakaway meals is a great way you can get involved in the community.

Typically we need 4-5 women to serve. If you are able to help, please stop by the Welcome Desk and sign up. For any questions, email Tonia Hatfield at Hatfield912@gmail.com.

Chest Of Joash

The Chest of Joash provides an opportunity to give above and beyond the normal tithe. The money from it goes directly to work needed done on our building.

In 2 Chronicles 24 we find Joash repairing the temple and a chest was set outside of it for people to bring a tithe that was used to pay the workers restoring the temple. Verse 10 says, “And all the princes and all the people rejoiced and brought their tax and dropped it into the chest until they had finished.”

A huge THANK YOU to all of you who have joyfully donated just as the Israelite officials and people did!

You can give to the Chest of Joash by clicking the button below and selecting “Chest of Joash” in the drop down menu.
