On Saturday, February 15th, we will have a meal packing day for Mission of Hope! We were blessed last year to be able to participate in this wonderful mission by packing 30,000 meals together as a church family. If you had to miss it last time, make plans to join us in February.
This year we are going even bigger! We will be packing 40,000 meals to send to hungry children in Haiti, so we need all hands on deck! We need around 120 people to help. The great thing is, families can serve together to help pack meals. All ages welcome. We will begin the meal packing at 9am and be finished around noon. No need to bring anything, simply show up to serve! There will be a signup sheet at the Welcome Desk on Sunday.

Our Friends Forever Fund offering is THIS Sunday, Dec. 22nd. You may also go online now to give to the Friends Forever Fund. Click on the link below and select “Friends Forever Fund” in the drop down box. We will announce how much was given during next weekend’s service on December 29th.
Our 2024 goal is $185,000. Reminder, this year’s offerings will go towards debt reduction on our mortgage and three different ministries. We will have another Meal Packing event in February with Mission of Hope. Through this ministry we will be providing 40,000 meals to feed hungry children in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. We will also be sending a donation to Choices Life Resource Center here in our community to help in saving babies lives in the womb. And finally, we will be sending a donation to an organization named The Seed Co. The Seed Co. is a Bible translation organization that is getting the Bible translated into languages where the Bible is not currently available.
Forward Church Family, we have a great opportunity for you to start the new year off by getting a good financial plan in place. We are offering a finance class here at the church on Saturday, January 11th from 9am to noon. In this class we will address where the average American is financially. We will also look at several areas that can get you into financial trouble and how to take the biblical steps to honor God and become financially mature.
Childcare will be provided for this event, but you MUST sign up by Sunday, January, 5th. Sign up this weekend at the Welcome Desk.

Men of Forward, the 2-day Men’s conference will be at the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY, March 21st-22nd; or plan to come up an extra day early on March 20th to visit the Ark.
Order your tickets before the end of the year, so you can get the discounted rate. Sign up at the Welcome Desk this weekend. A $50 deposit will be due by Sunday, Dec. 29th.

Registration is now open for the Belize trip. We are asking for anyone interested to go ahead and get signed up now. The trip is June 21-27th. Also, if interested, please go ahead and start the process of getting your passport. A $200 deposit for the trip will be due by January 5th.
Reminder, this trip is for the whole family. We will have opportunities for men, women and children to serve the people in Belize by helping with construction projects, Bible studies, and VBS events. Forward Church Family, you can support those going on the trip by participating in future fundraisers. Be looking for more information on fundraisers coming soon.

Each month we are honored to serve the ladies at the Breakaway House, which is located just down the road from Forward Church. Volunteers from our church provide a meal and visit for a couple of hours with the ladies that live there. Women of Forward, helping with Breakaway meals is a great way you can get involved in the community. Typically we need 4-5 women to serve.

Chest Of Joash
The Chest of Joash provides an opportunity to give above and beyond the normal tithe. The money from it goes directly to work needed done on our building.
In 2 Chronicles 24 we find Joash repairing the temple and a chest was set outside of it for people to bring a tithe that was used to pay the workers restoring the temple. Verse 10 says, “And all the princes and all the people rejoiced and brought their tax and dropped it into the chest until they had finished.”
